being well into the outdoor world i often use dehydrated foods. these are great because it cuts down on the wight by about 3/4. one of the best trail lunches is taking a hamburger helper meal and dehydrating the beef for it... and then boil it up on your lightweight backpacking stove to rehydrate it up and then in about a 20-40 min. time you have a nice trial lunch (the time includes set up, cooking, and washing.
