Everyone loves this simple noodle dish since it is so cheap and easy to make. But everyone does not eat them the same way.

I have seen one person put them into a bowl of water and microwave them, then dump out the water and then add the spices.

I have even seen a person put ketchup on them.

So how do you eat them? Or do you make something else with them? We really want to know.

ok well...,

i do a lot of camping, biking, hiking, and things of that sort so dehydrated food is one of my best friends on these trips. the food we are talking of right now is your simple noodle.

there is two main ways that i eat my dehydrated noodles.

1) pull them out of the pack and start eatin' away (I like it this way, nice, easy and still taste good) (not as hard as you think once you bite into it)

2) crack the block of noodles in half and put it in your nalgene (standard bottle for hiking and outdoor activities these days) fill the nalgene 1/2 with water and then put in the noodle about 15 -30 before you want to eat and then just hang it on your back pack so the sun heats it up a bit (if you wish) other wise it is a great meal for the trail.

with me it depends on the flavor it.

Beef: I like to take the seasonings out and use that on popcorn. I'll cook the noodles and either put ketchup, cheese, or even gravy on it...

Chicken i usually use half the amount of water, that way when its done there is barely any left over liquid and i add alot of spices to make it nice and hot bear_grin.gif

A healthier way to make it is to leave out the seasoning packet and cook it in broth instead of water. it turns out really good.

bear_grin.gif Great with leftovers!

Examples:

With the beef, after you have made Taco's and there is still some meat left over, take about 3 tablespoons or so and put it into the saucepan before you make your noodles and yes you still add the season pack.

With the chicken, add some left over chicken by cutting it up into tiny pieces.

You can even add left over veggies to any type of soup.

So even if you think that little left over is too small to put in the refrigerator to save, it's just right to and to your noodles bear_thumb.gif
