Ingredients ::
- 1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts, sliced
- 1 (3 oz.) can chow mein noodles
- 1 carrot, sliced
- 1 can bean sprouts, drained
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup half and half cream
- 1 cup chopped celery (cut diagonally)
- dash of hot pepper sauce
- black pepper
- 2 Tablespoons soy sauce
- 1-1/2 cups minced green onion
- 3/4 cup chopped cashew nuts
- hot cooked rice

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Set aside 1/2 cup chow mein noodles.
Butter a large 2 quart casserole dish.
In a large bowl, mix together all the ingredients, except for the rice. Place mixture into the butter casserole dish. Bake, uncovered, in oven for about 30 minutes.
Then sprinkle the remaining chow mein noodles on top of the casserole and bake for 10 minutes more.
Serve over hot cooked rice, and add soy sauce as desired.
