Ingredients ::
  • Cooking Spray
  • Batter:
  • 1-3/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 envelopes yeast
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup very warm water (120 to 130 degrees F.)
  • 2 Tablespoons butter, melted
  • Caramel Pecan Topping:
  • 1/3 cup corn syrup
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • Cinnamon Sugar Topping:
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Description ::
Makes: 6 to 8 servings

Note: If desired, the batter* may be mixed in a separate bowl.

Spray a 9-1/2 inch deep dish pie plate with cooking spray.

Mix the *batter - flour, yeast, sugar, salt, water and butter in the pre-sprayed pie plate.

In a small bowl, stir together the corn syrup, brown sugar and butter. Then add the pecans and mix well.

In another small bowl, combine the cinnamon and sugar together for the topping.

Top the batter evenly with the cinnamon sugar topping. Then spoon the caramel pecan topping evenly over that.

Bake by placing in a cold oven; set temperature to 350 degrees, and bake for 25 minutes; until lightly browned and firm in the center.

Cool slightly, and serve warm.
