Ingredients ::
  • Crust:
  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup butter OR margarine, softened
  • 1 egg
  • Filling
  • 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 (6 oz.) package chocolate coated toffee bits
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan.

In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, margarine and 1 egg. Mix well with pastry blender OR a fork. Then press mixture into the bottom of the pan. Bake in oven for 7 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine the condensed milk, vanilla and 1 egg. Mix well, stir in the toffee bits and pecans.

Remove pan from the oven, and pour the filling over the warm crust. Return to the oven and bake for 22 to 30 more minutes OR until the filling is set.

When cool, cut into bars.

Store in refrigerator.
