Ingredients ::
  • 1-1/2 pounds round steak cut into thin strips
  • 2 Tablespoons oil
  • 1 cup sliced onions
  • 1 cup converted rice
  • 1 can (10-1/2 oz.) beef broth
  • 1 can water
  • 3 Tablespoons soy sause (or to taste)
  • 1 can mushrooms (optional)

Makes: 4 to 6 servings

In a frying pan, brown the beef in oil.

Then stir everything else in, bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and cook over a low heat untill the liquid is absorbed, about 30 minutes.
