Ingredients ::
- 2 cups dried beans
- 1/2 pound salt pork, diced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 3 Tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 Tablespoons molasses
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 2 Tablespoons catsup

Makes: 8 to 10 servings
Prep time: soak beans over night
Place beans in a large bowl, add water to cover well. Soak beans overnight. Drain the next day.
In a frying pan, brown salt pork, add onion and saute lightly. Remove the excess fat. Put into the slow cooker.
Add beans, and brown sugar, salt, molasses, mustard and catsup; mix well.
Cover beans with enough water, cover and cook on high for 6 to 8 hours. Check if necessary to add more water during cooking.
