Ingredients ::
- 2-1/4 cups flour
- 3 Tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 6 Tablespoons butter
- 2-1/4 cups berries, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
- 2/3 cup milk
From: Annie Maus, of Hartford, WI
In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Cut the butter in next.
Stir in the strawberries.
Add the milk.
Toss to mix well.
On a lightly floured surface pat the dough out to 1/2 inch thickness.
Cut into circles about 3 inches diameter.
Sprinkle sugar over the top of each.
Bake in a 425 degree oven on a greased sheet for 12 minutes until golden.
