Ingredients ::
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1-1/3 cups nuts, chopped fine
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 3 teaspoons nutmeg
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar

Makes: about 6 dozen
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
In a large bowl, cream butter, then add the sugar and cream until fluffy.
Add nuts and vanilla; mix.
Add flour and mix.
Using 2 teaspoonsful of dough for each cookie, shape into balls. (or use a small ice cream scooper)
Note: These do not increase in size, so the whole batch could fit on one large ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 25 minutes.
In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar with nutmeg.
While hot, roll the cookies into the nutmeg mixture.
