Greetings from the Editor
Dear Alumna,
On March 12, 1912, our founder Juliette Gordon Low declared Girl Scouts to be "something for the girls of America and all the world." Since that auspicious day, 50 million women and men around the country and the world have indeed had their lives positively affected by Girl Scouts. Today, Girl Scouts is delighted to share that we have "something for all the Girl Scouts alumnae of America and the world".
It is with great excitement that we announce the arrival of the new Girl Scouts Alumnae Association: Online Alumnae Community.
As a cherished alumna, we invite you to be among the first to register on this dynamic online alumnae community. This site offers member profiles, social networking, member directories, national and council news, photo galleries, and much more. Most importantly, our community creates a safe, secure environment for connecting and keeping in touch with fellow Girl Scouts.
We encourage you to register and create your profile by clicking on the hyperlink: Girl Scouts Alumnae Association, (http://alumnae.girlscouts.org). We definitely want to know what you think about the site so please share your thoughts by clicking on "Contact Us" at the top right hand side of the screen. Last, help us build our "100 reasons to reconnect" by taking the survey.
Check the site often as this begins phase two of the roll-out of the online alumnae community following our successful pilot program. As we continue through the phased roll-out throughout this year, more councils will come on board and we will regularly add new content and features to enhance your online experience. Signing up only takes minutes and is free!
We look forward to connecting with you on the new Girl Scouts Alumnae Association: Online Alumnae Community.
Warm regards,
Josie
