Ingredients ::
  • 6 pound duck
  • 1 clove garlic
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 quarts sauerkraut
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 Tablespoons sugar

Makes: 6 servings

Wash and clan the duck.

Season the duck with salt and pepper; rub with garlic. Place in a pan.

In a bowl, mix sauerkraut, water and sugar. Pour mixture into the pan.

Cover pan and bake in a 325 degree oven until the duck is tender and brown, allowing 20 to 25 minutes per pound.
