Ingredients ::
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 8 cloves
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 4 orange slices (from unpeeled orange)
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger (1/4 teaspoon for those who prefer it less spicy)
Makes: 1 to 2 servings
Combine all above ingredients in a sausepan (spices may be placed in a muslin cloth square OR tea ball for easy removal later, OR us a strainer.
Simmer mixture for 20 minutes OR in a crock pot.
Remove spices and be sure to remove the orange slices or the mixture will become bitter.
Serve hot in mugs.
