Ingredients ::
  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 1/2 pound pancetta, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3/4 pound asparagus, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 3 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • black pepper to taste

Cook the spaghetti al dente.

While pasta water is heating, fry the pancetta in a skillet over a medium heat for 7 minutes. Add the garlic; fry for 1 minute. Add the asparagus; fry until soft, about 7 to 10 minutes.

Drain pasta into a large bowl. Add olive oil and mix. Add contents of skillet and half of the cheese and toss well.

Serve topped with additional cheese and pepper.
