Ingredients ::
  • 18 to 20 asparagus spears, fresh and cooked
  • 1-1/2 cups chopped, cooked chicken
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 3/4 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 cup light cream
  • 2 Tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • paprika
  • 9 inch unbaked pie shell

Makes: 8 servings

Arrange asparagus in "spokes" in the bottom of an unbaked pie shell.

Sprinkle chicken over, then sprinkle with bacon, and then the Swiss cheese.

In a small bowl, beat eggs with flour, salt and cream until well mixed; pour over asparagus and cheese mixture.

Sprinkle with Parmesan and paprika.

Bake in the oven at 375 degrees for about 50 minutes.

Test with table knife by inserting in center. When done, knife comes out clean.

Let stand about 8 to 10 minutes. Cut into 8 servings.
