Ingredients ::
- 2 cups flour, divided
- 1 cup butter OR oleo, divided
- 1 cup plus 2 Tablespoons water, divided
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 eggs
- 1 can chocolate or vanilla frosting

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix 1 cup of flour and 1/2 cup butter as for pie crust; in a bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of water to the dough. Then divide the dough in half and pat each half into a 3 x 12 inch strip on a jelly roll pan.
Bring the remaining 1/2 cup of butter and 1 cup of water to a boil; in a sauce pan. Remove from the heat. Stir in the vanilla. Beat in the remaining 1 cup of flour quickly. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
Divide the mixture over the two strips of dough.
Bake in the oven for 50 to 60 minutes.
Cool and then frost.
