Here is a gift idea for kids of any age. Take time to go into their room and go though it, you may need a pen and paper for this. Find the toys that they enjoy playing with, example of an old toy like light bright. Are they no longer playing with it just because the bulb is not good, or ran out of black sheets, or need more pegs? Why not buy items that will make old toys into new ones again. I am sure you will find items not being used just because the batteries died, and don't forget the watch. There are always old things that might just need something done to them like sewing on a snap for a dolls dress, or a new paint job, or fix a broken item. It is so easy today to toss things away, but really take a second look. There are so many items in fine shape that might just need something extra to spice it up again like a new dress for Barbie or new blocks for the dump truck. See what it is your child needs, new pencils, then why not add some colored ones too. Take a look at their hobbies and maybe they could use some items there too. Maybe they really do need a new cd player if they take it everwhere they go. It is easy for children to see something new and say they want it, but it really takes the love of a parent to take the time to see what their child may really need and will enjoy.
