How great these walks are for not only the dog's health and mental happiness, but for your health and mental happiness, too! You will feel terrifc when you become more toned, your heat's blood circulates and it reduces your plood pressure and puts a smile on your face when you look at your dog and know you are doing the same for it.
This is a great time to connect with nature and your surrounding area every day. Take the time to see the flowers and trees change with the season. Really look to find the animals that share your space. On walks around these wonderful woods and trails and walks around the lakes, you will see deer, turtles, possum, beaver, fox, squirls, rabbits and all types of birds. You can even take your camra with you to take pictures.
Walks are such a great way to clear your mind, giving you time to really think, or just let go of all that stress.
So you cannot walk, or walk far, or unable to take multiple walks for some reason, this is no reason your pet should not. Do your dog a favor and either ask a friend or family member to help out. Still unable to find some one, then ask a younger person to take your pet out for some exercise, and maybe even play ball with it. To find a younger person to trust, ask your local Church if they have someone who could come by and take your dog for a walk. Or ask the local Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts, they too might be looking for a way to earn a badge. You could even ask the principle of your local school how to find a responsible person to take your pet for a walk. Plus you will make a new friend.
Remember, if you are going to have a dog you need to make sure to care for it the best that you can, and they need to exercise for a long and healthy life.
