Ingredients ::
  • 1 package devil's food cake mix (chocolate) and what ever ingredients you may need to make the cake
  • Topping:
  • 1/2 (14 oz. can) sweetened condensed milk
  • 6 oz. caramel ice cream topping
  • 3 (1.4 oz. bars) chocolate covered toffee, chopped
  • 1 (8 oz. container) frozen whipped topping, thawed
Description ::
Sweetest Day - Valentine's Day - or an Anniversary!

In a large bowl, mix up the cake as directions say.

Bake the cake batter in a 9 13 inch pan as the box directions say.

Cool the cake on a rack for 5 minutes.

Make slits across the top of the cake with a knife, making sure not to go through to the bottom.

In a saucepan, over low heat, combine the milk and caramel topping stirring until smooth and blended.

Slowly pour the warm topping mixture over the top of the warm cake, let it sink into the slits, then sprinkle the crushed chocolate toffee hars liberally across the entire cake while it is still warm.

Let the cake cool completely, then top with whipped topping.

Decorate the top of the cake with some more chocolate toffee bar chunks and swirls of charamel topping, when you serve it.

Refrigerate and serve right from the pan.
