Ingredients ::
  • 6 eggs, separated
  • 3/4 cup Bacardi Light rum
  • 3/4 cup Jim Beam
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 qt. milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • powdered nutmeg
  • several sprigs of fresh mint (optional)
Description ::
Makes: about 12 servings

Chill all liquid ingredients.

Whip egg whites until stiff in a bowl; put that into the refrigerator.

In another bowl, whip cream; put this in the refrigerator.

Place egg yolks in another bowl large enough to hold all the ingredients and beat until creamy. Add the sugar and beat until creamy again. Add the Bacardi and Jim Beam, and beat a minute more. Add the milk and beat.

Fold in whipped cream and then egg whites. Beat very gently at a slow speed until egg whites are broken up but mixture is still foamy.

Serve in glass cups, garnished with powdered nutmeg and fresh mint.
