Ingredients ::
  • 1 tube (8 oz.) refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup shopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1 Tablespoon butter OR melted margarine
  • 1/2 teaspoon milk

Makes: 2 dozen

Cooking tip: remember safety first, when working with the oven to use oven mitts to remove hot pan, and if needed to have an adult available for help.

Unroll the crescent dough into a rectangle, over a greased 9 x 13 x 2 inch baking pan. Press the dough into the bottom and 1/2 inch up the sides of the pan. Seal seams and perforations already in the dough.

Bake in a 375 degree oven for 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine egg, sugar, pecans, corn syrup, butter and milk; mix well.

Remove pan from oven. Pour mixture over the crust. Return to oven and bake for another 16 to 20 minutes OR until golden brown and bubbly.

Remove from oven and cool completely before cutting and serving.
