Ingredients ::
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 package betty crocker supermoist white cake mix
- 1 can cherry pie filling
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- glaze (see frosting section)
Cherry-Almond Coffee Squares
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Generously grease and flour jelly roll pan, 15 1/2"x10 1/2"x1".
Mix eggs, sour cream and water in large bowl, stir in cake mix (dry) until
moistened (batter will be slightly lumpy.)
Spread batter in pan.
Mark batter into 15 equal squares with tip of knife (2 marks lengthwise, 4
marks crosswise).
Spoon equal amounts of pie filling onto center of each square.
Bake until cake springs back when touched lightly, 25 to 30 minutes.
Cool in pan.
Sprinkle with almonds; drizzle with Glaze.
