Ingredients ::
  • 1 pound cooked turkey
  • 1 bound cooked ham
  • salad oil
  • Texas Barbecue Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup tomato juice
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 Tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons catsup
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon chili powder
  • dash cayenne red pepper
  • Cranberry Orange Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup cranberry orange relish
  • 2 Tablespoons orange flavored liqueur OR orange juice
Description ::
Makes: 4 servings

Texas Barbecue Sauce makes: 1 cup

Cranberry Orange Sauce makes: 1/2 cup

Cut turkey and ham into 3/4 inch cubes, then place onto a tray and cover.

Prepare Texas barbecue sauce by adding all ingredients into a sauce pan and simmer. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 15 minutes or until sauce thickens. Transfer to a bowl and cover.

Prepare Cranberry orange sauce by mixing all ingredients in a bowl, then cover.

Put meats and sauces into the refrigerator for about 15 minutes before serving.

In a metal fondue pot, heat salad oil (2 inches) to 375 degrees. To test use a 1 inch bread cube, it will brown in 1 minute. Transfer pot to a source of heat at table. Adjust heat when necessary to maintain temperature of oil. Cook meat until light brown. Dip into sauces.
