Ingredients ::
  • 1 package German chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 (8 oz.)packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar, divided
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups dairy sour cream
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla

Needs 8 hours in the refrigerater

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a large mixing bowl, blend cake mix, coconut, butter and 1 egg on low speed until the mixture is crumbly.

Press mixture very lightly in an ungreased 13 x 8 x 2 inch baking pan.

In another bowl beat cream cheese, 2 eggs, 1/4 cup sugar and 2 teaspoons vanilla until smooth and fluffy. Spread over the cake mixture.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.

In a bowl mix sour cream, 1/4 cup sugar and 1 Tablespoon vanilla until smooth. Spread over the finished cheesecake. Cool and refrigerate for at least 8 hours before serving.
