Add a little something more with a simple seasoned butter. Marke several kinds using a variety of things. Here is a basic recipe for butter and herbs, and adjust the amount of the herbs used to your taste preferences:
Stir 2 to 4 Tablespoons of chopped herbs into 1/2 cup of softened butter.
Then drop the mixture onto waxed paper and refrigerate, forming it into a log shape as it cools; chill until it's firm. Wrap the herbed butter in waxed paper, tying the ends. Place asprig of the herb used in the butter on the package to identify it.
Store the butter in the refrigerator up to 1 week OR in the freezer up to 1 month.
