an iron - to press from the
a hock to hang it up with that attaches to the picture frame if you want (but one is not needed to hang it)
paints
What you will need to do to make your picture:
Roll out your fabric with the best side down. Then lay the frame on top of it. You may want to do this on the floor where you have room to work or a large table.
Cut the fabric to size but leave enough fabric to staple down to the frame. You can always cut off any extra - but once it is cut you can not add on fabric.
Begin to staple by starting in the center on any side and use about 3 staples (2 inches apart) in each direction.
Pull the fabric, make it as taut as you can (ask for help if you need it).
Move to the opposite edge, then repeat for all sides.
Fold at the corners, fold the edges and staple one on top of the other. Cut off extra fabric.
You can add your hock at this time, and press out any wrinkles with the iron from the backside if needed.
Now you are ready to paint it. This is where you can be the artist and do it anyway you want. With paint brushes, or stencils, sponges, it is all up to you.
You can even have a painting party, where each person makes their own or everyone adds a little something to just one.
Fabric tip:
If you want the easy way out, you can even buy fabric with a print on it already. This can match another item already in the room too.
This is a one of a kind work of art and we would sure like to see your, so send us a picture of your finished painting.
