Ingredients ::
  • 2/3 cup cornmeal
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2/3 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 4 Tablespoons shortening
  • 3/4 cup milk
Description ::

In a bowl, mix in cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.

Cut in shortening, then add milk, stirring just to moisten mixture.

Drop by tablespoons onto a baking sheet, and bake at 350 to 375 degrees for 20 minutes.

Note: they spread so don't place too close together.
