Ingredients ::
  • Cake:
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tablespoons melted butter
  • 1-1/2 cups milk
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1-2 Tablespoons instant coffee powder
  • Crumb Topping:
  • 6 Tablespoons flour
  • 4 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Crumb Topping:
Combine all the ingredients by fork, hands or pastry blender. Put aside.

Cake:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Grease and flour a 13 x 9 pan.

In a large bowl, beat eggs, milk and butter. Beat in flour, sugar and baking powder. Stir in chocolate chips by hand. Stir in instant coffee in 4 strokes or less.

Spread dough into the pan, sprinkle with the crumb topping, and bake 25 to 30 minutes.

Cool in pan for 10 minutes before cutting.
