Ingredients ::
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1-1/2 cups pecan halves
- 1 cup flaked coconut

Makes: 6 to 7 dozen
Note:
Cherries, dates or blanched almonds can be substituted for the pecan halves.
In a bowl cream butter, add sugar gradually, blend in vanilla and then the dry ingredients.
Wrap level teaspoonfuls of dough around pecan halves.
Roll in coconut next.
Place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 325 degrees for about 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
