Ingredients ::
- 1 can (46 oz.) tomato juice
- 1 can (10-1/2 oz.) tomato puree
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 onion slice
- 5 whole cloves
- 1 bay leaf
- 3 Tablespoons sugar
- 1-1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon herb seasoning
- lemons for garnish
Makes: 12 servings (served in mugs) about 3/4 cup each
Heat all ingredients except the lemons, to boiling; stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat; simmer 5 minutes.
Strain; serve in mugs with lemon slices.
