Ingredients ::
- 1 1/2 Cups Flour sifted
- 1 1/2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 4 Tablespoons Butter
- 1/3 Cup Sugar
- 1 Egg well beaten
- 1 Cup Buttermilk
- 1 1/2 Cups Post Bran Flakes rolled
Bran Bread
Sift flour once, measure, add baking powder, soda, and salt, and sift again.
Cream butter, add sugar; then add egg, and flour, alternately with milk.
Fold in bran flakes.
Bake in greased loaf pan, 9x4x3 inches, in moderate oven (350 degrees) 1 hour and 15 minutes.
