Ingredients ::
  • 2-16 oz. cans yellow cling sliced peaches, drained
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1-1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
Description ::
Makes: depends on the size you cut it to.

Grease a 13 x 9 inch pan; place peaches in the bottom of the pand and then sprinkle with nutmeg.

Stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt; in a bowl, and set aside.

In another bowl combine butter, egg and milk; stir in sifted dry ingreadents; mix well.

Spoon batter evenly over the peaches. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.

Serve warm OR cold with ice cream OR whipped cream (if desired).
