M&M's Cookie Mix

1 ¼ cups sugar

1 ¼ cups M&Ms

2 cups flour

½ tsp baking soda

½ tsp baking powder
Sift together flour, baking soda/powder and layer in jar in this order: flour mixture, M&M's and sugar. Seal and decorate jar as desired.

1 Jar M&M's Cookie Mix
½ cup softened butter
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
Cream egg, butter and vanilla. Add jar mix and mix until completely blended.
Roll dough into walnut-sized balls. Place 2 inches apart on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375°F for 12 to 14 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet. Remove to wire racks to cool completely. Yield: 2 ½ dozen.
