Ingredients ::
- 1-1/3 cups graham-cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, melted
- 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
- 3 Tablespoons tequila
- 3 Tablespoons Triple Sec
- 1/2 cup frozen strawberries with syrup, thawed
- 2 cups heavy cream, whipped
Makes 8 servings.
This should can be made ahead of time, but needs to be made at least the night before you want to serve it.
An after-dinner drink and festive dessert, all in one.
Combine crumbs, sugar and butter in a small bowl; then press into bottom and sides of a 9 inch pie plate.
Beat condensed milk, lime juice, tequila and Triple Sec in a large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed for 3 minutes until smooth. Lower speed; beat in strawberries with syrup for 1 minute.
Fold whipped cream into strawberry mixture until no streaks of white remain. Pour into prepared graham-cracker pie shell, mounding in center. Freeze overnight.
Transfer to refrigerator 30 minutes before serving. Garnish with additional whipped cream around edge, strawberries and lime slices, if you wish.
