What a day to remember:
It all started at 7:30 a.m. when I woke up. I got up early to wash my hair, eat, and start to put my makeup on. At 8:00 a.m. I woke up my brother Robert. Then I called to make sure Tim my boyfriend at the time was also up. After everyone was up I went back to work to get everything ready for the big day ahead.
After my makeup was complete I got dressed. Then I went outside to hang up the signs. By that time Robert was dressed. I had him take up the stuff for the party. The record player, the Haunted House game, the decorations, the refreshments, and there I had him stay to set up and wait for the guests to come.
By now it was 10:00 a.m. and Tim and Tina had arrived. First I got Tina started on her makeup. She really enjoyed putting on her green makeup. What a sight. Mean while I was putting Tim's makeup on.
Tina turned out to be a great ugly witch. [attachmentid=177]
Tim was Count Dracula. [attachmentid=178]
I would be his Vamp. [attachmentid=168]
As for Robert - he was the Executioner. [attachmentid=169]
Not bad for a Halloween bunch.
The bad news came when my friends started to call to cancel. Oh well their loss, the party was still a go, and with the Halloween music the party was fun with those that did show up. There was lots of refreshments, and a Halloween punch with black and orange ice cubes. Everyone even got Trick-or-Treat bags to take with them to enjoy after the party.
Time for the afternoon party to end at noon, but for the fun to continue. It was off to Southridge Mall, the south sides largest shopping center. Robert and Tina had the upstairs to rome, and Tim and I took the downstairs. We had a great time letting people enjoy our costumes, until we were about to exchange floors when a policeman told us we had to leave. What a bummer.
Well it was still much to early, so we all went over to Tim's house. We enjoyed popcorn and played pool until 4:00 p.m. when it was time to leave again.
It was off to Kentucky Fried Chicken for their dinner boxes, what a deal. We then headed off to Pulaski High to enjoy our meals while we watched Pulaski play Hamilton's football team. [attachmentid=170]
At 5:00 p.m. it was time to meet up with Joe and Mike from the party again. This time we were off to the Cemetery on 29th and Cleveland. This is were we had fun taking pictures.
For those who knew Joe he liked to be called Bird, it was so cool when he found his headstone. [attachmentid=171]
There was Tina the witch sweeping up by the chapel. [attachmentid=179]
One where Tim tried to bite my neck. [attachmentid=173]
Then there is the executioner who killed Count Dracula. [attachmentid=174]
We all had such a blast running around the Cemetery.
The next move was to go to the MS Ghost Manor, haunted house. We did get lost on the way, but that was cool. For $2 a person the haunted house was not all that great, but everyone was happy to contribute to the fund. They did have some sharp art work outside. [attachmentid=175] [attachmentid=176]
Then it was off to take Robert and Tina home since they could not go to the bar. The drinking age then was 18. So we went to a Costume party at Olympic Lanes. There was a live band, lots of people in costumes and everyone dancing. I even spent some time talking to Tony who was working that night in the kitchen.
By 11:30 p.m. I was really tired, it had been a long and very busy day. Time to go home, but when we got to the car we found that someone had broken the passengers mirror and pushed it under the car. That sure mad Tim made, but it had been a wild and fun day.
