Ingredients ::
- 2 Lb. top sirloin steak, culotte steak or tri-tip
- 2/3 cup spicy barbecue sauce, preferably with habanera or Scotch bonnet peppers
- 2 Tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 4 teaspoons dark brown sugar
- Jerk seasoning, as needed
- 1 cup shredded coconut, toasted
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Makes 4 Entree or 8 Appetizer Servings
Preheat grill to medium.
Cut beef across the grain into 1-1/4 inch strips.
Combine barbecue sauce, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar. Pour sauce over beef, cover and marinate 2-3 hours in refrigerator; discard marinade after use.
Skewer each piece of beef; season with Jerk seasoning and grill 5-8 minutes or to desired doneness. Sprinkle with toasted coconut and serve with lime and cilantro.
